I saw Earth Wind and Fire at the Red Hat Amphitheater in October 2014.  It was a memorable experience.  The seats were comfortable and the view of the stage was great.  The vendors were accessible and the ambience was incredible.  I have never been more pleased with an outdoor venue.  It was outstanding.  I am hopeful that there will be more events I can attend at this venue in the future.
Seen a few shows here. It's great venue when the weather is good. Saw one show with a light rain and it did distract from the show. The trains going by can also be distracting and/or add some comedy depending on the type of show.
Attended jazz concert  (Najee, Gerald Albright, Will Downing ) the temperature that night was surprisingly cool and comfortable, the sound coming from the musicians was CRISP! The Downtown background set the scene. Skyline was BEAMING!! Awesome experience..experience one of Raleigh treasures.
Very comfortable outdoor venue.  Gives a great party feel without feeling crowded.
Brings in great acts from all over the place, and for that we thank you. Check out some of the bands from the parking deck across the street!
If you buy a ticket for a seat expecting to use it, you'll be greatly disappointed.  There is a SRO area in front of the stage which blocks the view from the front row of seats.  In order for those poor individuals to see the stage, they must stand also.  That causes people behind them to stand.  Soon, the entire crowd either has to decide to stand or sit and stare at someone's back.  I'm very disappointed in the seating arrangement and will not return
This is a great venue located in the heart of downtown Raleigh. It has come to grow quite a bit since its conception as the Raleigh Amphitheater.
I have enjoyed the past season at the outdoor Red Hat Ampitheater! My favorite was The Carnival Of Madness, but all the bands that played here were amazing, and the crowd was engaged through sun and rain. I can't wait for the 2014 lineup!!
